We wore yellow 'wet legs' in those days.

A bit of aircraft Firefighting training at RAF Finningly.

One part of our passing out parade is the marching display.Only hand picked recruits that showed superb skill and co-ordination were used for the display......................yeah right!!!

The rest of us did a P.E display.....guess which one I did???....

Mmmm.

Another part was a rescue display, using ladders and breathing apperatus.

And then a Road Traffic Accident (RTA) display.

Followed by the grand finale.

A water display.

Oh nearly forgot... this is me getting the Top Recruit award from the then Chief Fire Officer Mr Threadgold.
( Still waiting for my Silver Axe to arrive though !!!)

On my very first night at Central station in 1994 we rescued and resuscitated this young lady from a flat fire. A few weeks later she came to Central to meet us and say thanks.
