THE STRIKE

Well what can I say, the strike came and went ahead, I can assure you that nobody wanted to go out on strike, it is totaly the last thing we wanted and came only as a last resort.

This website is not here to put forward any political ramifications it started out as a bit of fun, but over the last few months and especially the last couple of weeks there's not been much fun around.I took a few photos on the day of the strike purely to mark the historic and very sad day but somehow it didn't seem right to pose for the camera, so there's only a few to show you.

This was taken about 5.30 pm Wed 13th Nov, half an hour before the walkout.

Thursday 14 Nov, Cold and Wet , as you'd expect.

I didn't get a picture of the actual walk out, we were out on a call, the last call South Yorkshire had before the start of the strike.

I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to the general public, their support over the strike has been overwhelming, drivers peeping their horns, donations of food and money for the hardship fund, people walking past and giving us a wave its been fantastic. It keeps us going and lets us know we DO have support out there. We get a few negative comments, we are bound to, but the majority of the people passing by give us possitive encouragement, and thats what we need, we dont want to lose the faith of the public, we are here to serve you and we always will. I just hope a solution to this situation can be found as soon as possible.

I would also like to thank all the visitors to this site that have e-mailed me with their support and encouraging messages, I take them all to work and stick them on the notice board---Thanks.
